The projecthonduras.com network consists of more than 8,500
people and hundreds of groups working on projects in support of the people of Honduras. We
use an e-mail list generated from our databases, several
off-the-shelf online listservs, and social networking
tools such as Facebook and Twitter. Once you're on a forum, introduce yourself and share your interest in Honduras.
The four forums listed on this page are our core listservs
that we manage. For information on other listservs about
Honduras, e-mail hondopost@yahoo.com. Many of the individuals
in our network are already involved in projects to help Honduras. Many are looking for ways to get involved. All have an attachment to the country and offer a wealth of
knowledge and wisdom on ways to resolve problems.
Pass this on to as many people as you know, and before you know it we will have tens of thousands of people connected online slowly putting together the pieces of a movement with a new strategy of how to change Honduras from the ground up by its citizen volunteers rather than from the top down by its traditional institutions. The goal is to create a civil society. Twenty years ago, we did not have the technology to do this. The Internet is the one thing that has not yet been fully tried to bring Hondurans together to develop Honduras in a way that supplies everyone with the basics needed to make a living, care for their families, and have stable communities.
